Restaurant Pflasterschisser in Eppstein

At the Gasthaus Pflasterschisser we tried the delivery service on November 14th, 2020. We have already tested many deliveries around Eppstein, especially now in the Corona period. My family and I loved the food. Packaging optimal and the dishes delicious. The fried potatoes in particular were great. The side salad could have been a bit bigger. But in all 5 stars.

Average good food with little flair. But deserves a second chance

A great rustic restaurant with delicious German cuisine. We liked it very much and the ladies were really friendly and courteous. We will be happy to come back.

Good food for a reasonable price, hospitable staff.

My wife and I went here to eat. The prices are affordable. The food is not bad but also not good, rather average. The service tries hard, you have to say that. Whoever wants to try it should do it. I only assumed my taste, but as I said, average. There are better ones, but also worse ones.

Awesome historical building. But unfortunately taken over by a family who is struggling to host and serve good guests. Pity. Improve!

We waited more than 20 minutes until we were even noticed. There was a maximum of 3 cards for 5 people, although more cards were available. After half an hour we still couldn't place an order (although at least 10 people came after us who already had tickets + drinks) after that we left because of poor service.

ATTENTION: Change of tenants! Unfortunately, it has little to do with the earlier cobblers, although the map looks similar. Some time ago there was a change of tenant and now again. Unplanned service, endless waiting times and no more comparison to the taste and above all the quality of the past. It's OK, but nothing special anymore. I'm sorry, but after several years of frequent visits, it is unfortunately no longer worth it here.

We were there again on August 7th, 2020. We were regulars for many years. Now.. Unfortunately big problems. We invited friends to spend a nice evening with us. Food was good. When we paid, the waitress (boss?) Refused to credit our voucher. She had problems with the term "alternative". 2 for 1 / alternatively 4 for 2. To avoid a stir, I paid. TOO BAD

Great food! Great service! Beautiful town!

We took wonderful tapas with us. All four were extremely tasty.

Again and again, delicious and super nice service. There is always something seasonal, and on the drink menu, and the quality is always consistently good. Inside, the restaurant totally quaint and outside in the summer sit overlooking the Eppstein castle is simply glorious.

The best Käseknöpfle / Käsespätzle I've eaten so far and the restaurant is also a refill station! Really great, gladly again!

Great restaurant in an old half-timbered house with cozy furnishings. Service friendly and courteous. Food came quickly and was super tasty and inexpensive i. O. For all Schnitzel fans, Wednesdays is Schnitzel Day. Children are welcome and a high chair is also provided. Wrapping facilities unfortunately not available.

Food is great, there is a lot of effort in the kitchen (5 stars). Unfortunately, the service is again not up to date (3 stars). You basically have to ask for a second drink afterwards. It is a mystery to me why the service in restaurants is not regularly asked.

Always my pleasure! The restaurant used to be my favorite place. This has not changed with the new operators. I think the food is even better than it used to be and we were served incredibly nice and friendly.

We were four last night in the restaurant Pflasterschisser. We all enjoyed it very much. You have to wait a bit for the food (if there are many guests), but everything is freshly cooked and the wait was worth it. 😊In addition, there are good wines and noble grappas. What we liked was that the chef of the house came to our table and inquired how the food tasted. 😊 We would be very nice. Many thanks.

I used to be here more often. When I was there for the last time about two months ago for dinner, I unfortunately did not like the food. It used to be delicious and I hope it will be the same again on my next visit.

A small scenic restaurant, with fine food. You need reservations on a Friday night, so call ahead. The only negative? If you order fries with anything....don't expect much beyond 2-star fries, with food enhancers added as a 'spice'. Otherwise, it's a pretty nice place for a charming dinner. Oh, and there is very limited parking. Drive up the avenue to the left of the place, about 200 meters, and there's some parking on the hill. Don't expect any parking in the midst of the 'downtown' Eppstein.
